SEE THE TRUTH

Some people see rainbows
searching for a place to be free.
They want peace without all the fighting,
but life can be a storm on a cruel sea.

People are lonely hurting inside without love,
they struggle with strife.
Others want to help the sick and the poor
-- and feed the starving children in this life.

(chorus) So we better wake up, open your eyes,
see the truth -- see the truth.
Yes, we better wake up, look behind the lies,
see the truth -- clearly -- see the truth!

Those that are angry have lost their souls,
they pull others down just to lift themselves up.
Others want to stop all the hate in the world,
we have the power, if we ever grow up.
(repeat chorus)
There'll come a time we all can live together,
all we have to do is reach out a hand.
Put your arm around a friend,
we're all brothers and sisters.
We were born to love,
we're not stones in the sand.
(repeat chorus)

DOWN BY THE WATER

Everybody goes where the wind blows, someday,
I'll go there, but not alone -- someday. I'll go there.
Everybody can sing like an angel,
I can hear the voices calling,
they're calling me home. And they say….

(chorus) Lay down boy --- down by the water,
just watch the river run, no, it never slows down.
Lay down boy --- down by the water,
your dreams will come true,
when you lay yourself down.

Everybody loves, laughs and cries,
when in the dark I search for the light --
I search for the light.
Everybody wanders down the road looking for answers
and the sight -- I'm still looking for the sight.
(repeat chorus)

(bridge) I close my eyes, but I don't go to sleep.
I think I'm drowning , somebody save me -- help me
-- the stream runs deep!

Everybody wishes they were stronger, I tell the truth,
sometimes I lie -- sometimes the truth is a lie.
Everybody learns while growing,
until they ride that river to the sky,
we ride the river --up to the sky.
(repeat chorus)
… all your dreams will come true,
when you lay yourself down.
